Our Association has an active and growing representative program. All representative teams are made up of Albury Basketball domestic players’ ages ranging under 12 to under 18. Currently Albury competes in the NSW Waratah Southern Junior League and Junior Premier League. These leagues offer a fantastic opportunity for players to compete and develop on a NSW Country level and compete against the best players in the state.

Due to our location, there is travel involved with Albury Representative Basketball, with possible trips to Newcastle, Canberra and Illawarra on the representative schedule. From time to time there will also be tournaments and competitions that we take part in in the Sydney region as well as across Victoria.

The ABA Representative Program aims to create an environment in which players of all ages and divisions can reach their potential. Key aspects of the program include:

• Fostering a desire and effort to improve

• Instilling a commitment to the association, the team and the individual

• Recognizing and acknowledging different rates of development

• Developing a positive attitude towards team mates, coaches, referees and the opposition

• Enjoying the game of basketball
